Hello my Super Sisters! I know it's been awhile. I have been going through some transitioning. Just recently, I had to undergo a surgery. I made it through successfully (praise God), and am now in my recovery process. I'm doing something that is so uncomfortable for me... resting! But, I am finding out that there is purpose is this time of rest.
Earlier this morning, I read a devotional from YouVersion Bible App. It was taken from John 15:2 (KJV)... "Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit." As I meditated on this verse, I was lead to share these thoughts...
the process of growth can be rough at times, causing pain and discomfort. We've all heard the saying "growing pains" when younger, but are truly understanding it's meaning as we're maturing! Growth can be painful... OUCH!
John 15:2 describes the growth/maintenance process of fruit (of the believer). It's the process of Pruning. Pruning is defined as “trimming (a tree, shrub, or bush) by cutting away dead or overgrown branches or stems, especially to increase fruitfulness and growth.”
We are in a process of pruning, and although the cutting off of dead things and trimming may be painful, it is NECESSARY for growth and newness!
The hope we have in this process of Pruning is the promise that if we allow The Master to prune us, the fruit produced in the upcoming season will be a ripened bountiful blessing not only to us, but to all those we come in contact with! HALLELUJAH! "Pain Produces (births) Purpose!" God knows what He's doing! Trust Him & trust the process!
Jeremiah 1:5
Jeremiah 29:11
Have an AMAZING day on purpose/with purpose! Love you! ❤️
